About Me

Hello!  Thanks for taking time to view my web page.  This is my second year teaching at Bonfield.  Last year I was thrilled to have the opportunity to teach third grade and I so excited to be back in 5th grade.  I absolutely love 5th graders!  I received my undergraduate degree from West Chester University in 1994 in psychology and social work.  I spent many years working for Children and Youth as a parenting educator.  My journey with CYA and working as a TSS led me to get emergency certified to teach.  I soon realized that my passion was teaching and I spent six years working as a substitute teacher in the School District of Lancaster.  I obtained my teaching certification, as well as a master's degree in Elementary Education from WGU.
I am married to my college sweetheart and we have 3 children, Jay 16, Jordan 13, and Jade 10.  They attend school in Hempfield School District.  We are the "lucky" owners of a 3 year old boxer named Carmel.
In my spare time I like to watch television and read.  I love sour, gummy candy, candles, and Maggie Moos ice cream! :-)
