http://berecruited.comExcellent place for athletes to get information on the recruiting process and post their athletic resume and videos for coaches to review.  Founded by former coaches and ESPN executives, this athletic recruititng site has some free features and others cost a nominal amount.
http://www.finaid.orgExplains the various financial aid programs available to families from loans to scholarships.  Provides calculators and the necessary forms for parents to fill out.  It is a safe site that will not ask you to pay for information and it is not sponsored by a financial institution trying to lure you into selecting their loans.

http://fafsa.ed.govFree Application for Federal Student Aid.  Initial step in the financial aid process. We offer an annual workshop to complete this form at Warwick High School.  Complete your taxes early to complete this form in January or February.

http://hscounselorweek.comFree newsletter that pulls together the top stories each week and emails them to you.  It is intended for high school guidance counselors but parents and students are welcome to join.

http://educationplanner.orgWhether you are a student trying to decide what you want to be or a parent trying to decide how you will pay for college, this is a good one - stop career and college planning site.
http://www.usnews.com/rankingsWhile I do not advocate rankings in general, especially those that reference aspects of college social life, rankings can assist you in some ways.  For instance, if you are blindly searching to determine which universities have the best engineering program or nursing program, they can be helpful.
